With my birthday coming up around the corner, I've been receiving a few questions as to what I'd want for my birthday. Oh Joy! Presents, for me?! As my mind starts to race for a quick answer, in case they decide to take back the question, I say, "Oh, I have a pair of Coach boots I wanted to buy." Luckily, they were quick to make my birthday wish come true and so I went shopping. I went to Off Fifth - Saks Fifth Avenue bargain store first thinking they may have the boots at half price. No! Unfortunately, they only had a whole section of Manolo Blahnik's and Jimmy Choo's on sale at 1/2 off with an additional 30% off? If you're grabbing your purse as you read this, hold on. They were mostly size 5's and 6's? It wasn't my lucky shoe day, but maybe your Off Fifth will have a better selection? OK, you have my permission to go now. Go! 

For those who want to know why I have a ballet flat as a picture choice, here's my story. My confession actually. I'm in love with Coach Brand shoes. I think its the only shoe I really go ga-ga after since I have a bit of a wider foot and love stylish comfortable shoes that have superb craftsmanship. If that's you, you might want to check out the Coach shoes the next time you're at a department store. I already have their slip-on sneaker (so comfy and cushiony that I feel like I'm floating in them - even a year later). Then I also have their golden flip-flop which feels like they took the same cushion on the sneaker and stripped it to make fabulous flip-flops. "I die!" Next, my Coach strappy, pointed toed, pump heels in gorgeous black leather. Think their bags, on a shoe, but refined. That's the leather on that heel. Last but not least, my favorite piece, their opened-toe flat's/sandals in their signature black canvas with a mini satin bow perfectly placed on my toe cleavage. Do tell me you know what a "toe cleavage" is. Or is it foot cleavage? Where the bottom of the toes peep out from under the shoe. (Leave comments if you're a shoe expert! I'd love to know!) 

Finally, my shoe choice of the day was a pair of perfect Coach ballet flats for the fall. If you're not a fan of their signature canvas, these shoes are not for you though you'll love their comfort value! But, once I slipped my feet into these ballet flats, I knew I would have to keep them close before the girl next to me decided she'd want them too. "Tsk! Tsk!"  Oh, what happened to the Coach boots I wanted to buy as a birthday gift from my friends? They're still waiting for me at Nordstrom's department store. Aging gracefully like me, but our reunion will be soon. "Ah-choo! I'm a size 8!"

Thinking of my adorable princess-esque nieces, I've thought of doing a bit of shopping especially with their birthday's coming up. Actually "O's" birthday is today. Happy Birthday "O". Suri Cruise is officially a fashionista! I've seen kitten heels, but kitten heels on TomKat's toddler? This is only the beginning of her fabulous collection of heels. The Thread.com wrote that mom and daughter were in Boston yesterday. Mom wore flats and 3yr old toddler Suri was in her "peep-toe d'Orsay heels" - which are the style, not the maker of her shoes. They do report to have seen her in sneakers not long from when she was wearing these heels. She must be a sensible fashionista like her mommy. We love you ladies! Keep strutting your stuff!

My Louis Vuitton Speedy Bag!

So I'm the "throw everything in a bag and run out of the house" kinda gal. These days, with water bottles and snacks for the kids, my Louis Vuitton Speedy 35 Bag is the last one I want to throw everything into. If you didn't already know, their vinyl bags are not waterproof and will crack when wet to dry. That's what the saleswoman told me. Whenever I go out and see another woman with her LV bag my sonic eyes zoom right in and I ID the bag with the person. I wouldn't have pinned her for a graffiti lover, but maybe she's a motorcycle queen out for a lunch date with her family?! Maybe. I'm not judging. I love how she played up her outfit with that bag. Now, I'm deciding to accessories my bag with some bling. Maybe Louis Vuitton, maybe Hello Kitty? I saw one gal pal add a LV leather shoulder strap to her speedy bag. That caught my eyes. So I had to follow her obsessively - trying to figure out what made it different. It was the simply the added strap! Go figure! Whichever way I go I know I'll make someone's LV goggled eyes take notice. Trend starter I am not, but trend starter wanna be - I AM!!!

What makes you feel loved? A love note to make your heart sing perhaps? Perhaps! I found these Italian Linen Scarfs on tobi.com and I knew it would be the perfect summer accessory to any outfit. I'm thinking it'll be a great beach - sun tanning project. Of course if the kids in your life don't scribble in them first. By all means - these books are for all ages and will broaden all imaginations to think a little further. A great family trip distraction. Don't forget the crayons and markers!

Summer Paper Pinwheel's - "How To"

       
       

I've been more than busy these days. Trying to catch up with blogging has been a bit difficult. My reason for not blogging everyday has multiplied. Besides being a stay at home mom for my two toddler boys - playing with Legos and the Spider-man inflatable pool out in the yard plus surviving, I've been planning my 2nd sons' first birthday party coming up this Sunday. I remember losing 5 lbs the week of my first sons' 1st birthday party. It must have fallen off between bags of party favors and the colorful pinata. Its seriously like a mini wedding for me. The best part to a first birthday are the mini gold rings and bracelets they give as gifts as a Korean tradition. One day they'll be melted to make something more appropriate for the birthday boy in his twenties?! Another log to my fire this week is preparing for a trip. After his party, 'We're going to Disneyworld!'. Buying the tickets and organizing is not a chore for me so I'm loving every minute of the planning. I know this trip will fill my mind with great memories of my family. I'll share the details of the trip with you, so stay tuned!

So why the Pinwheels? I've been thinking of some table decorations besides the helium balloons for the party and landed on the idea of these pinwheels. I got the idea from PaperSource.com's "How-To" page. Its a good thing that I found it since my first  attempt was a sad disaster. This page has helped me out. I can't wait to show you the pictures of his party, but till then, enjoy this craft with your little ones or for your Midsummer's Night Cocktail Party.

How-To make a Pinwheel: from PaperSource.com

This classic craft can be amped up using colored paper and rubber stamps. White ink, like Versamagic White Cloud, is one of our fave colors to use for this.

1. Begin with any color text weight paper. Have fun mixing and matching different colors. Cut text paper to 5 1/4″ squares.
2. Fold paper twice, corner to corner, creating four triangles. Punch an 1/8″ hole on the left side of each fold near the corner.
3. Using fold line as guide, cut from each corner towards center of square up to about 1/2″ from center. Punch 1/8″ hole in center of square.
4. Rubber stamp image all over one or both sides of square (here we used the Dancing Star Medium rubber stamp). Allow ink to dry.
5. Using a pencil as your anchor (be sure it has an eraser), gather each hole-punched corner to center of square and secure in place with thumbtack pushed into pencil eraser at the back of the pinwheel.
6. Dress up pencils by cutting 1 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ stripes of text paper, and twirling down the length of the pencil. Secure top and bottom of strips with a dab of double stick tape.

Enjoy these at a summer party or a day at the park!

Something I cherish is my rhinestone bow shaped pin which I got as a thank you gift many light-years ago. Another personal favorite are my bronze Cole Haan car loafers with its cute leather bow and miniature gold logo accent in the middle of it. You know, I have a friend who thinks it hideous, but from the first time I saw them, it was love at first sight. The bow had me at hello. Oh Birkin, my Birkin!

          

I want the Birkin Bag! If you're like me and drool at the sight of one, let me tell you my story. First, this bag is made by the french company Hermes and the waitlist for this bag is on average 6 years long. Even though it costs $7,500 to $10,000 girls are dropping their hard earned money for one or more of these bag - unless they've got a rich boyfriend like Rory from the Gilmore Girls and get it as a sweet gift. 

So, this is my Birkin story from last week. Imagine me in handcuffs. "I" imagined myself wearing a pair of handcuffs as I NEARLY picked up an authentic Birkin bag at Hirshleifer's shoe store. My eyes were set on a light brown Birkin bag sitting quietly on the cushioned seats where you sit and try on shoes. Me and my friend were looking at their selection of Manolo's and Jimmy Choo shoes when I spotted the bag. I reached for it as if it were on display for us to just pick up and touch. Then as I got closer, inch by inch, my heart started to race faster and faster. I started to wonder, why was this bag open? Why was there a book in the bag, and other items as if it belonged to someone. Oh, no! Then I pulled up my hand to my chest as fast as possible and looked around the room to see if someone actually owned this bag. There were a few ladies standing and talking.
